How to Check if a WhatsApp Link is Valid
WhatsApp group and channel invite links can expire or be revoked by admins at any time. Before sharing a link publicly or clicking an unknown link, it's a good idea to verify that it's still active. Our validator checks the link's HTTP status to determine if it's working.
What Gets Checked?
- ✓ Group invite links (chat.whatsapp.com/xxx) — checks if the group is still open and accepting members
- ✓ Channel invite links (whatsapp.com/channel/xxx) — verifies that the channel still exists and is accessible
- ✓ Expired links — detects links that were revoked or have expired
- ✓ Malformed links — catches invalid or incorrectly formatted URLs
Limitations
This tool checks the HTTP response from WhatsApp's servers. A "valid" result means the link resolves successfully, but it does not guarantee that the group has available slots or that you won't need admin approval. Rate limited to 10 checks per hour.
